Fixed wireless internet delivers broadband by transmitting radio signals from ground-based towers to a small receiver mounted at your home — no buried cables, no satellite dish, no 600ms lag. South Texas Internet operates towers across Medina, Atascosa, Bexar, Frio, and Uvalde counties, providing coverage to rural properties that fiber and cable never reached. Because the signal travels horizontally between tower and receiver — not 22,000 miles to a satellite and back — STI customers experience latency under 50 ms versus 600ms+ on traditional satellite. Installation is often within one business day, sometimes the same day. STI markets this technology as "Air Fiber" — a purpose-built fixed wireless solution for rural Texas.
Never. All plans include unlimited data with no throttling, no deprioritization, and no overage fees — ever. Stream, work from home, and game without watching a data meter.
STI's Velocity 400 plan delivers 400 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload for $65/month, with no contract. Starlink charges $130/month for its 400 Mbps plan, so STI is $65/month less — $780/year less than Starlink's 400 Mbps plan. Starlink's $55 plan caps downloads at 100 Mbps. STI is 400 Mbps for $10 more. STI also provides local human support — call us and speak to someone in Hondo the same day. Starlink pricing checked September 2026 at a Hondo, TX address; prices vary by location.
No contracts, no setup fees, no early termination fees — ever. Month-to-month service with no surprises. If you leave, you owe nothing. We keep customers by being good, not by trapping them.
Sales and billing are available Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm. Tech support is available 7 days a week from 8am to 11pm. Call (830) 429-4149 — you'll reach a real person in Hondo, not an overseas call center or a ticket system.
Call us at (830) 429-4149 or check availability online. We'll confirm your address is in our coverage area and schedule installation — new customers are often live within one business day, sometimes the same day. No technician visit fees, no surprise charges.
